Bardons & Oliver Introduces New CNC Center-Drive Lathe

Solon, Ohio...Bardons & Oliver, a leader in the manufacture of tube and bar cut-off equipment, CNC Turning Systems, and Custom Machinery, introduces a new CNC Center-Drive Lathe.

The 4-Axis Center-Drive Lathe is ideal for maximizing machining efficiency. One 12-station turret machines the front end of the work piece while a second 12-station turret simultaneously machines the back end. In addition to this integrated workholding capability, the Bardons & Oliver Center-Drive Lathe allows the critical surfaces at each end of the part to be machined concentric to each other.

Built with traditional heavy-duty Bardons & Oliver machine bases and turrets, the Center-Drive Lathe is flexible and can be loaded manually, robot-loaded, or configured with a Bardons & Oliver automatic barfeed to produce finished parts from full-length raw material. The Center-Drive Lathe can also be integrated into a cell, if required.

The Bardons & Oliver Center-Drive Lathe is effective for the production of oilfield tool joints, hydraulic accumulator bodies, axle housings, conveyor rollers, and artillery shell casings.

The company also offers a 6-Axis model Center-Drive with twin turrets on one end and a single turret on the other end.

Brian Lane, Vice President of Sales, said, " Many of our customers are making plans right now to make the necessary investment in manufacturing systems and factory automation to meet the needs of their customers as we enter into this recovery phase. We feel that our Center-Drive Lathe will be an important investment for our customers moving forward."

The Bardons & Oliver Center-Drive Lathe is available in four models: CTR-354 (3.50" collet), CTR-504 (5.00" collet), CTR-654 (6.50" collet), and the CTR-854 (8.50" collet).
