Quick Release Ratchets are ergonomically designed.
November 11, 2009 -
ASME B107.10 specified quick release ratchets come in ¼, 3/8, and ½ in. drive sizes and include low-profile quick release button on backtop of ratchet head. They securely hold sockets while in use, allowing users to change sockets with one hand. Each ratchet has pear-shaped head, and 45-tooth internal gear design to provide 8 degree ratcheting arc. Sealed head design stops dust and other fine debris from infiltrating ratchet mechanism, while preventing lubricants from leaking out.
New ratchets combine quick release-button with ergonomically designed features in a compact design.
Conyers, GA October 4, 2009 - Tool users and buyers in all industries have been specifying the use of quick release ratchets for many applications, and Stanley Proto has responded by adding four new Quick Release Ratchets to its lineup. The new ratchets come in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive sizes and includes a low-profile quick release button on the backtop of the ratchet head. They are designed to securely hold sockets while in use, making it possible for users to change sockets with one hand.
Besides their quick-release feature, the new low profile ratchets should also make it easy to install or remove fasteners in hard to reach work areas. Each ratchet has a pear-shaped head that's small enough to slip into tight spots, as well as a 45-tooth internal gear design that provides an 8-degree ratcheting arc. Each ratchet also has a low profile reversing lever that allows for quick, one-handed direction changes.
To help increase tool life and reduce downtime, the ratchets have a patented sealed head design that stops dust and other fine debris from infiltrating the ratchet mechanism, while preventing lubricants from leaking out.
The new ratchets have also been engineered for comfort and safety: their contoured, ergonomically designed handles have knurled bands that increase slip resistance and allow for a strong grip. The handles are made from full polished double nickel chrome-plated steel, which meets aerospace requirements for corrosion protection and is also easy to keep clean.
Quick Release Ratchets are manufactured to ASME B107.10 specifications. They are field repairable: Users can access the internal components by removing the snap ring located on the bottom side of the ratchet. In fact, Proto is also offering three new repair kits.
