Tumbler Switchlocks offer electrical life to 10,000 cycles.
October 16, 2009 -
Available with 200, 750, and 2,000 key codes, respectively, Y Series anti-static 4, 5, and 6 tumbler switchlocks provide static resistance of over 20 kVdc and minimum dielectric strength of 1,000 Vrms. They feature zinc alloy with stainless steel or gloss black facing lock, and UL 94V-0-approved glass-filled polyester switch housing. Nickel-plated brass keys are supplied with 4 and 5 tumbler locks, while 6 tumbler lock comes with 2 die cast chrome-plated zinc alloy keys.
C&K Develops Anti-Static Tumbler Switchlocks with up to 2,000 Key Codes
NEWTON, MA (October 5, 2009) - C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, has developed a new family of tumbler switchlocks. Designated the Y Series, the anti-static 4, 5 and 6 tumbler switchlocks exceed 20KVDC static resistance and are available with 200, 750 and 2,000 key codes, respectively.
"Static-free and available with up to 2,000 key codes, the Y Series tumbler switchlocks are ideal for a number of consumer applications including point-of-sale terminals, cash registers and computers," said Vinny Acampora, product manager for C&K Components. "The versatile switchlocks are also available in momentary model versions and are offered with wire leads and harnesses, allowing us to provide customers with a one-stop-shop for the complete assembly."
The Y Series switches feature a zinc alloy with stainless steel or gloss black facing lock, and a UL 94V-0-approved glass-filled polyester switch housing. The 4 and 5 tumbler locks include nickel-plated brass keys, while the 6 tumbler lock features two die cast chrome-plated zinc alloy keys.
Contact rating is 4A @ 125VAC/28VDC and 2A @ 250VAC, with a contact resistance of 11mA for both the silver- and gold-plated contacts. Minimum dielectric strength is 1000Vrms, and the switchlocks feature an electrical life to 10,000 make and break cycles at full load.
Typical pricing for the Y Series tumbler switchlocks ranges from $6.00 to $10.00 each in quantities of 100 pieces. Lead time is from 8 to 10 weeks.
