October 9, 2009 - Meeting Class VI standards and certified to ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10003-4, K-6100 Series TPE tubing is free of halogen, plasticizer, and animal derivatives, and is suited for use in fluid storage, transportation, and delivery of fluid to body where PVC is used. Non-toxic, non-hemolytic material is autoclavable to 121ēC, radiation sterilizable, heat-weldable, and solvent-bondable. Available in 3 durometers (65A, 75A, and 84A), tubing features high clarity and non-stick surface.

Kent Elastomer Products Introduces New K-6100 Series PVC Replacement Technology


Kent, OH - Kent Elastomer Products, Inc., a subsidiary of Meridian Industries, Inc., and a leader in the manufacture of tubing products, introduces the K-6100 Series, a TPE material that can replace problematic PVC in fluid pathway systems.

The new PVC replacement meets Class VI standards and is ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10003-4 certified. Free of halogen, plasticizer, and animal derivatives, this tubing is recommended for use in fluid storage, transportation, and delivery of fluid to the body where PVC is used. It is autoclavable to 121ēC and is radiation sterilizable as well. Available in three durometers (65A, 75A, and 84A), the K-6100 Series offers high clarity and a non-stick surface. This material is non-toxic, non-hemolytic, and is both heat-weldable and solvent-bondable.
