Molded Foot Valve Screens are suited for ball check valves.

September 14, 2009 - Designed for use when ball check valve is located in tank on suction side of pump, injected molded injection foot valve screens filter out larger debris before it can enter inside valve, pump, or process line. With no cemented joints or parts, units adapt to ball check valve using union nut. Screens are available in PVC, CPVC, PP, and PVDF, and in sizes ½ in. through 4 in. with flanged, socket, or threaded end connections.

Asahi/America Introduces New Molded Foot Valve Screens

Asahi/America, Inc., a leader in thermoplastic valve technology, announces new injected molded foot valve screens for Asahi/America's ball check valves. The new injected molded foot valve screens replace Asahi's fabricated foot valve screens.

Ideal for use when a ball check valve is located in a tank on the suction side of a pump, Asahi/America's new molded injection foot valve screens filter out larger debris before it can become lodged inside the valve, pump or process line.

The new molded screen, with no cemented joints or parts, is a simple one-piece structure that adapts to a ball check valve using a union nut provided with the screen "kit." The two-piece kit (screen and union nut) can be field-installed by directly mounting it to new or existing Asahi ball check valves. Unlike fabricated screens, molded screens provide a repeatable screen filtering pattern for uniform flow characteristics.

Asahi/America's new molded foot valve screens are of lighter weight and have a lower profile than fabricated screens. The new molded foot valve screens are available in PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF, ensuring that the entire assembly is of like material and capable of handling the intended media. The new screens are available in sizes 1/2" through 4" with flanged, socket or threaded end connections.
