Coleman Cable, Inc. Introduces Disaster Recovery and Restoration Cords

WAUKEGAN, IL (August 26, 2009) - Coleman Cable, Inc. (Nasdaq: CCIX) introduces a new line of Disaster Recovery and Restoration Cords that offer a safe, convenient electrical connection to convert dryer, range or generator outlets into usable power during disaster clean-up; rebuilds and restoration projects.

When fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flood damage or other severe disasters devastate structures, readily available power for heavy equipment is limited. In disaster recovery, the ability to utilize electrical equipment in remote areas helps emergency response; building recovery and restoration efforts. In most cases, the only reliable sources of significant power are 250V range and dryer outlets, or portable generators.

The new Disaster Recovery and Restoration cords from Coleman Cable allow emergency response teams and contractors to convert dryer, range or generator outlets into usable power for larger equipment or temporary power distribution boxes. The NEMA 14-30P (30A dryer outlet); NEMA 14-50P (50A range outlet) and NEMA L14-30P (30A generator) cords offer either a NEMA L14-30R (receptacle) or a 50A Twist receptacle to energize temporary power distribution boxes. All cords complement Coleman Cable Inc.'s full-product offering of Temporary Power Distribution X-Treme(TM) Boxes; Polar-SolarŪ; Yellow JacketŪ; Generator Power; Twist-To-Lock; "Y" and "W" Extension Cords and Adapters.

"Coleman Cable, Inc. provides the industry's widest offering of safe, convenient extension cords and adapters to convert non-standard power outlets into usable 125V power," said Warren Schade, Coleman Cable Vice President of Contractor/Industrial Distribution. "This new line of cords provides customers with a wider choice of power solutions in delivering 'power where you need it.'"
