August 27, 2009 - Designed for measurement of absolute optical power and relative optical loss, model A0670008 can be utilized in telecom and CATV maintenance and fiber optic test labs. Dust and water resistant unit tests optical power within wavelength range from 800-1,650 nm, and displays test results on high resolution LCD screen in mW, dB, and dBm. It offers calibrated wavelengths of 850, 980, 1,300, 1,310, 1,490,and 1,550 nm, and also offers auto-off function.

The economical power meter is an ideal solution for telecommunications and CATV maintenance and fiber optics test labs.

GAO Instruments'multi-functional handheld power meter, model A0670008, features highly accurate test results, automatic identification of frequencies, and efficient data storage function. It tests optical power within a wavelength range from 800nm to 1650nm and displays test results in mW, dB and dBm on its large, high resolution LCD screen. It also offers calibrated wavelengths of 850,980,1300,1310,1490,and 1550nm; more optional calibrated wavelengths are available. This easy-to-use power meter is resistant to dust and water,which makes it suitable for field use. The meter consumes little power due to its auto-off function and boasts a short response time without requiring warm-up. In addition, it provides an RS232 communication port for data transmission.
