Phihong Develops Compact Energy-Efficient 20W Interchangeable Plug Adapter Series
FREMONT, Calif. -(August 14, 2009)- Phihong, one of the most trusted names in power electronics, has developed a new compact, energy-efficient 20W interchangeable plug adapter series. The PSAA20R adapter series, available in single 12-, 24-, and 48V outputs, features interchangeable AC input clips, sold separately, which enable widespread compatibility, as well as allow for the use of a single part number, simplifying OEMs' inventory and approval processes. Ideal for peripherals, network equipment, gaming machines, and point of sale equipment, the series is also ENERGY STARŪ Level V, EPS Version 2.0-compliant.

Designed for maximum efficiency as well as compatibility, PSAA20R Series adapters feature a maximum no-load power draw of 0.3W and an average operating efficiency of greater than 81%.
PSAA20R adapters are also Class II double-insulated, meet Class B EMI standards, and feature over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection. Additionally, the 20W adapters bear cUL/UL, CE, SAA, and C-Tick safety markings and approvals. The series is rated for operation from 0 degrees C to +40 degrees C.
Compact in size, PSAA20R Series adapters measure 2.82" x 1.97" x 1.31" and weigh 6 ounces. They terminate with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel output connector at the end of a 1.5-meter (4' 11.05") DC cord.
