Optical Multimeter is designed for field work.


August 14, 2009 - Suited for single mode fiber measurement, Model 2498 can be used as optical power meter, stabile light source, or loss measurement system. It delivers CW mode light signals, and offers measurement resolution of 0.1-1 dB in W display mode or 0.01-0.1 dB in REL display mode. Device carries out optical loss measurement at 0.85, 1.30, 1.31, and 1.55 µm, with measurement range of 3-70 dBm or 20-50 dBm. Choice of power sources include AC adaptor, rechargeable Ni-Cd battery, and dry cells.

Optical Multi-Meter Used for Fieldwork

The well priced, easy-to-use meter measures optical loss and checks the performance of optical parts. It is ideally suited for single mode fiber measurement and provides a wavelength calibration function at four wavelengths. Its small size and light weight allows it to be used anywhere.

The model 2498A optical multi-meter, can be used as an optical power meter, a stabile light source or a loss measurement system. It provides CW mode light signals; it offers a measurement resolution of 0.1dBm to 1dB in W display mode or 0.01 to 0.1dB in REL display mode; and it carries out optical loss measurement at 0.85µm, 1.30µm, 1.31µm and 1.55µm, with a measurement range of 3dBm to -70dBm or 20dBm to -50dBm. The deviation of optical power sensor is compensated automatically. The optical meter features a backlit LCD screen and selectable power sources: AC adaptor, rechargeable Ni-Cd battery and dry cells.
