Miniature Triaxial Accelerometer for Modal Analysis, Model 3293A

Chatsworth, CA - July 29, 2009 - Dytran Instruments is pleased to announce the release of a new IEPE triaxial accelerometer designed for modal analysis applications. Model 3293A is a lightweight, high sensitivity accelerometer that contains three miniature ceramic shear mode accelerometer elements mounted to a single support and welded into a titanium housing.

With a low end frequency response of ±10% down to 0.25 Hz, model 3293A offers excellent phase response at low frequencies. It also features an excellent signal to noise ratio (electrical noise floor of 0.0002 kHz).

Model 3293A is available with a sensitivity of 500 mV/g. Featuring a hermetic seal, 5-40 stud mount and a single 4-pin connector, this triaxial accelerometer weighs 8.8 grams.

This accelerometer is unique in that the labels of the axes X, Y and Z are laser marked in a large font size on three orthogonal faces, which aids the user in orienting the sensor.

Designed for modal analysis applications, the 3293A is also ideal for the following applications: general triaxial vibration measurements, shaker control, Squeak & Rattle, and Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH).
