Antenna Multiplexers integrate 4 or 8 antenna ports.

August 5, 2009 - Designed to minimize number of readers deployed when multiple read-points are required, MXH and MXU antenna multiplexers operate at HF Frequency of 13.56 MHz and UHF Frequency of 860-960 MHz, respectively. Each multiplexer is controlled by either host processor or reader module, allowing any of 4 or 8 antennas to be addressed explicitly using 3 GPIO pins.

MXH and MXU Antenna Multiplexers Turn up

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released its MXH and MXU antenna multiplexers, which are designed to ease the integration of multiple read-points into one device. GAO's RFID antenna multiplexer solution minimizes the number of readers deployed when multiple read-points are required, and thus saves on infrastructure investment for its users.

The MXH antenna multiplexer and the MXU antenna multiplexer, operate at an HF Frequency of 13.56 MHz and a UHF Frequency of 860-960 MHz respectively. Each of them can be equipped with 4 or 8 antenna ports so as to expand a reader's capability according to the specific requirements of an application. Each multiplexer is controlled by either a host processor or a reader module, which allows any of the four or eight antennas to be addressed explicitly using three GPIO pins. Further scalability can be achieved by adding additional multiplexers, so that a reader module can support more than eight antennas.
