Green Laser Welder microwelds conductive parts.

July 24, 2009 - Offering 2 energy- or time-share outputs, 5 W LW5AG utilizes 532 Nm wavelength in visible (green) spectrum, enabling precision microwelding of conductive materials like gold and copper alloys. Welder provides real time power feedback for ensuring stable pulse-to-pulse energy. Featuring single phase power, air cooled welder facilitates non-contact welding and enables quick set-up and integration into existing production line.

New 5W Green Laser Welder Microwelds Conductive Parts

MONROVIA, CA - July 1, 2009 - Miyachi Unitek is pleased to announce the release of its new LW5AG green laser welder. The new 5W laser offers increased weld speed (2.5x), penetration (~30%) and integration flexibility (2 energy- or time-share outputs) over the previous 2W model. It utilizes a 532nm wavelength in the visible (green) spectrum which is better absorbed by highly reflective materials enabling precision micro-welding of gold and copper alloys - applications that cannot be done with a traditional 1064nm YAG laser:

o Microweld conductive parts
o Green laser beam in the visible spectrum is better absorbed by highly reflective materials enabling precision microwelding of conductive materials like gold and copper alloys
o Non-contact welding process
o Real time power feedback ensures extremely stable pulse-to-pulse energy
o Single phase power and air cooled; enables quick set-up and integration into current production line

Miyachi Unitek designs and manufactures a full range of resistance welding and reflow soldering power supplies, heads, monitors and accessories for both large scale and fine spot applications requiring precision metals joining, lasers and laser systems for welding and marking, and hermetic sealing systems, gloveboxes and environmental enclosures. The company offers applications and process development support at no charge. Company Headquarters is located at 1820 S Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016.
