July 17, 2009 - Operating from 550-720 nm, selective wavelength photodiode, ODD-660W suits fluorescence detection, color sensors, daylight sensors, light barriers, and medical diagnostics application. Hermetically-sealed unit features spectral bandwidth of 80 nm, storage and operating temperature between -30 to 85°C, and lead soldering temperature of up to 260°C. It provides low dark current without optical filters.

Opto Diode's New Selective Wavelength Photodiodes Offer 660nm Peak Wavelength Response


July 6, 2009 - Newbury Park, CA - Opto Diode Corporation, a global supplier of advanced performance photodiodes and highly reliable, visible and IR LEDs, announces the third in the series of new selective wavelength photodiodes, the ODD-660W. The new device operates from 550nm to 720nm with peak response at 660nm and features a spectral bandwidth of 80nm. The hermetically-sealed photodiode offers extremely low dark current without the need for optical filters. Applications for the new photodetector include fluorescence detection, color sensors, daylight sensors, light barriers, and medical diagnostics.

The standard TO-46 can permits easy installation into existing or new systems. Storage and operating parameters are from -30 °C to 85 °C; lead soldering temperature of up to 260 °C.
