Suited for use with servomotors, XGT and XGS maximum speed couplings employ anti-vibration rubber to eliminate resonance points under 1,000 Hz. Disk couplings XBW (double disk) and XBS (single disk) allow for altering their length by as little as 1 mm increments by increasing or decreasing number of disks, for enhancing their performance attributes such as torsional stiffness or flexibility. They are suited for wide gaps between shafts.
New High Quality Range of Miniature Couplings from Ondrives Ltd
A high quality range of new miniature couplings has been introduced by Ondrives Ltd, into their latest precision mechanical handbook launched April 2009.
The range encompasses the XGT and XGS maximum speed couplings, which are ideal for servomotors, the company states. They employ anti-vibration rubber to eliminate resonance points under 1000Hz and this results in the loss of resonance frequencies, a factor which conventional couplings cannot hide. When used with a servomotor, the XGT and XGS couplings increase the motor's gain due to their superior anti-vibration attributes.
Disk couplings XBW & XBS are unique couplings in that their length can easily be altered by increasing or decreasing the number of disks along with their performance attributes such as higher torsional stiffness by increasing or decreasing for greater flexibility. These lengths can be altered by as little as 1mm increments, making them ideal for wide gaps between shafts where a little adjustment makes all the difference. XBW is the double disk version, whilst XBS is the single disk type.
