Designed for boats and marine extreme weather environments, START-SMART SSM accepts user input code for starting and stopping engine. Completely sealed 3 x 3.5 x ¾ in. metal piezo keypad can withstand -40 to 185°F, is vandal and tamper proof and tested to military standards for salt, dust, water, shock, temperature, humidity, and vibration. Unit can be retrofitted to any internal combustion engine, and is also available in anti-theft version.

Keytroller, LLC. introduces the brand new START- SMART SSM. programmable keyless ignition, designed for boats and tough marine extreme weather environments.
START- SMART SSM. replaces the ignition key with virtually indestructible metal piezo keypad. Operation is very simple, just input your code and the device illuminates green if accepted -press the START button to start engine and press STOP to stop.
The START- SMART SSM. system is also available in an anti-theft version which includes a wireless relay hidden in the ignition, started or fuel pump circuit. When a driver enters his code, it enables the wireless relay; he/she then presses START to start the engine. Without first enabling the hidden wireless relay, a thief can NOT "hot wire" the vehicle from the ignition key, he will give up and move on to an easier prey.
The small metal piezo keypad (3"x 3.5"x ¾") is completely sealed and designed for extremely tough outdoor weather conditions (-40 to 185F). The START- SMART SSM. is vandal and temper proof and tested to military standards for; salt, dust, water, shock, temperature, humidity, and vibration. Unlike the common plastic membrane keypads, this metal keypad has no moving parts for unmatched reliability. The electronic actually "feel" the press through the metal, so gloves can also be worn.
