FREMONT, Calif. -(June 30, 2009)- Phihong, one of the most trusted names in power electronics, has developed a new series of 18W, universal, 3-wire input, desktop adapters featuring IEC320 C14 inlet receptacles. The series, designated the PSAA18U, includes single 9-, 12-, 15-, and 24V models, all of which meet the performance requirements for Level V ENERGY STARŪ efficiency marking protocol, and are therefore ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0-compliant. Ideal for access devices, portable equipment, peripherals, and network hubs, Phihong's low-profile PSAA18U adapters are also compliant with the United States' Federal Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA).

The adapters are rated to operate between 0°C and 40° C and in 0% and 90% noncondensing humidity. Additionally, all adapters in the series carry cUL/UL60950-1, IEC60950-1, and CE safety approvals and markings.
Each PSAA18U adapter measures 4.06 inches in length by 1.93 inches in width by 1.32 inches in height, features a standard 2.1mm by 5.5mm DC barrel output connector, and weighs 4.94 ounces.
