GearWrench® Introduces New 48-Inch Extendable Pry Bar

Innovative Adjustable AdDesign Allows for Easy and Secure Toolbox Storage

BALTIMORE (June 16, 2009)-- GearWrench®, a premier hand tool brand from Danaher Tool Group, today announced the availability of a new 48-inch extendable pry bar that offers superior access and leverage. The new GearWrench pry bar extends from 24 to 48 inches and functions like a standard pry bar while offering indexing flexibility in the head and length.

The new 48-inch extendable pry bar, which can withstand more than 400 pounds of force, features a forged alloy head that is adjustable to 14 angles and rotates 180 degrees. Technicians and tool users in the automotive, construction, industrial and steel industries benefit from the lightweight tubular design and increased access in applications where lifting and shifting are required.

"Our customers told us that job-site theft is a major problem when it comes to the longer pry bars," said Kenneth Escoe, vice president of marketing for GearWrench. "The GearWrench extendable pry bar literally reaches new lengths at 48 inches and provides users with the satisfaction of knowing they can store this tool securely in a drawer."

The 48-inch extendable pry bar is available through mobile tool drivers and industrial tool distributors. The extendable pry bar retails for $149-$159.
