Murrelektronik IMPACT67 Offers Cost-Effective Decentralization

Duluth, Georgia, June 17, 2009 - Murrelektronik's new range of IMPACT67 compact field bus I/O modules is an ideal solution for applications requiring cost-effective basic functionality. The modules feature plug-in terminals, diagnostic options and IP67 protection, and are designed to meet the basic demands of all conventional machine installations.

Murrelektronik's IMPACT67 features predefined inputs and outputs, port-related cutoff and single channel diagnostics via LED. The modules are also equipped with field bus group diagnostics to reduce machine outages and ensure that faults are quickly localized and rectified.

IMPACT67 modules are available with different bus protocols, including Profibus, CanOpen, DeviceNet, EtherCat and EtherNet /IP. The modules also feature pluggable connections, diagnostic options and IP67 tested seals, and are a suitable choice for electrical engineers who need to minimize costs while maintaining digital inputs and outputs under ordinary environmental conditions.

IMPACT67 excels in a variety of fields, including plant engineering (logistics, waste treatment, palletizing), non-cutting metal applications (sheet metal working, robotics, wood processing) and transfer and material handling applications.
