Miniature Passive Probes have bandwidths from DC to 1.5 GHz.

July 6, 2009 - Suited for probing densely populated IC components or surface-mount devices used in high-speed digital applications, N2870A series is available with attenuation ratios of 1:1, 10:1, 20:1, and 100:1 and bandwidths of DC to 35, 200, 350, 500 MHz and 1.5 GHz. Spring loaded sharp probe tip helps keep probe from slipping off device under test, while insulating IC caps keep probe tip centered on IC lead and keep it from shorting adjacent leads. Compact devices feature 2.5 mm probe head diameter.

Agilent Technologies Introduces Family of Miniature Passive Probes with Bandwidths from DC to 1.5 GHz for High-Speed Digital Applications

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 17, 2009-- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced a family of miniature, passive oscilloscope probes and accessories with bandwidths from DC to 1.5 GHz. Compact 2.5-mm probe head diameter, low input capacitance, and various fine-pitch probe-tip accessories make the Agilent N2870A Series passive probes ideal for probing densely populated IC components or surface-mount devices used in today's high-speed digital applications.

The sharp probe tip is spring loaded to help engineers keep the probe from slipping off the device under test. Insulating IC caps keep the small probe tip centered on the IC lead and keep it from shorting adjacent leads. Optional probe-tip accessories provide specialized capabilities for demanding applications.

N2870A Series probes are available with attenuation ratios of 1:1, 10:1, 20:1 and 100:1, and probe bandwidths of DC to 35 MHz, 200 MHz, 350 MHz, 500 MHz and 1.5 GHz. The new Infiniium 9000 Series oscilloscopes comes equipped with one N2873A 500-MHz, 10:1 passive probe per channel.

Agilent's complete portfolio of oscilloscopes is available in a variety of form factors, from 20 MHz to 90 GHz, and offer industry-leading specifications and powerful applications.

U.S. Pricing and Availability

The Agilent N2870A Series passive probes are available now, with prices starting at $220. Information about the Agilent N2870A family is available at www.agilent.com/find/N2870A.
