PCB Connectors are designed for wideband HDTV transmission.
July 2, 2009 -
With 75 W interfaces rated to 8 GHz and engineered to only mate with 8 GHz parts, BMR series female type connectors are designed to mount to underside of PCB to support optimal grounding and inductance. They feature open-top design and contact pin placement to enable low overall capacitance, and ensure integrity of split satellite signals when employed in RF circuits. Parts are manufactured of precision-machined brass with gold-plated contacts to support low return loss.
Bomar's New 8 GHZ PCB Connector Series Optimized for Extreme Bandwidth HDTV Transmission
Proprietary Series' Electrical and Mechanical Properties Ensure Integrity of Split Satellite Feeds
Ledgewood, NJ, June 15, 2009...Bomar Interconnect Products, Inc., a premier manufacturer and designer of quality connectors and accessories for RF, video and broadcast transmission, released the female Type BMRŽ connector, the first member of Bomar's new 8 GHz BMR Series of PC board connectors for wideband HDTV transmission. The result of a three-year design initiative, the BMR Series boasts proprietary connector technology to meet the signal quality requirements of large-scale satellite TV applications, and has no equivalent in today's connector market. BMR connectors are RF engineers' ideal interface solution for Dish Network and Direct TV applications in which signals are deployed throughout such facilities as office complexes, hotels, hospitals, colleges, and universities.
Traditional 3 GHz Type F connectors are adequate for many HDTV applications, but cannot accommodate the extreme bandwidth required when satellite signals are to be split. BMR connectors, when employed in RF circuits designed for them, virtually ensure the integrity of split signals due to their proprietary engineering. The new 75-ohm interfaces are rated to 8 GHz (test well to 10 GHz), and engineered to only mate with 8 GHz parts. They further are designed to mount to the underside of the PCB to support optimal grounding and inductance, and feature an open-top design and contact pin placement to enable low overall capacitance.
Parts are manufactured of precision-machined brass with gold-plated contacts to support low return loss, and feature insulator material of high-density TFE to maintain a perfect dielectric constant. To learn more about Bomar's BMR Series, visit www.BomarInterconnect.com
In quantities of 100, pricing for Bomar's female Type BMR Series connectors starts at $4.11 ea. Delivery is from stock to 10 weeks. Samples are available upon request.
