High Voltage Multipliers

Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord California announces the availability of high voltage multipliers customized to meet each system's unique requirements. Ideal for applications such as gas chromatography, lithography, microchip electrophoresis, photomultiplier tubes, X-ray, DNA analysis, etc., Calex has the design blocks and manufacturing capability to quickly provide the system designer with a robust, cost effective solution tailored for each application. As with all Calex products, the voltage multipliers are built to the highest quality standards and are backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty.

Current production includes devices that are capable of handling AC inputs up to 5kV peak to peak. AC input frequencies can range from 5kHz up to 100kHz. The DC output voltage can be set between 500V and 15,000V. Up to 25W of output power is available with an operating case temperature range of -40C to +100C. A variety of packaging options are available to suit each application's requirements.

To facilitate the design process, Calex offers a Voltage Multiplier Worksheet at www.calex.com/volmulws.html. Once the Worksheet is submitted to the factory, typical response times are 1 to 3 days for design feasibility, budgetary cost, and estimated timeframe for first articles.

Calex can also accommodate unique test requirements such as temperature cycling and burn-in. Contact the factory for additional information or www.calex.com/volmul.html.
