Image Acquisition Board suits Camera Link Base cameras.


June 24, 2009 - Designed for PCI Express x1 interface (v1.20), Xcelera-CL LX1 Base board can acquire images from variety of multi-tap area and line scan, color, and monochrome cameras. It supports Camera Link operations up to 85 MHz, 32/64-bit Windows platforms, and features quarter-length PCI Express x1 board. Power over Camera Link (PoCL) compliant, board suits OEM imaging applications including electronics and semiconductor inspection, as well as general purpose machine vision applications.

DALSA Adds New Entry-Level Camera Link Frame Grabber to Extend Xcelera Series


Cost-effective Image Acquisition Board designed for general purpose Machine Vision Applications

WATERLOO, ONTARIO - June 11th, - DALSA [TSX: DSA], a global leader in machine vision technology, today announced the availability of its Xcelera-CL LX1 Base image acquisition board designed for Camera Link Base cameras. The latest addition to the Xcelera Series of frame grabbers, the Xcelera-CL LX1 Base is an entry-level Camera Link product which is easy to set up and use, delivers highly reliable image acquisition and offers extensive software support.

Designed for the PCI Express x1 interface (V. 1.20), the Xcelera-CL LX1 Base can acquire images from a variety of multi-tap area and line scan, color and monochrome cameras. Camera Link operations are supported up to 85 MHz. The Xcelera-CL LX1 Base has also been engineered within DALSA's exacting Trigger-to-Image Reliability technology framework to more reliably and efficiently control and monitor the entire image acquisition sequence. This cost-effective frame grabber is designed for ease of implementation in a wide range of OEM imaging applications including electronics and semiconductor inspection, as well as general purpose machine vision applications.

Software Support

All Xcelera series frame grabbers are supported by DALSA's Sapera(TM) Essential software package. Sapera Essential is a cost-effective machine vision software toolkit that bundles board level acquisition and control with advanced image processing capability, featuring 1D/2D barcodes, OCR, pattern finding, color analysis, blob analysis and lens correction tools.

Sapera Essential is designed to deliver the critical functionality needed to design, develop and deploy high-performance machine vision applications while at the same time significantly lowering the deployment costs.

DALSA Platform Development Advantage - Free Run-Time Licensing

The Sapera Essential standard processing tool run-time license is offered at no additional charge when combined with DALSA frame grabbers. This software run-time license includes access to over 400 image processing functions, area-based (normalized correlation based) template matching tool, blob analysis and lens correction tool.
