Abrisa's New LuxVu(TM) Heated Optical Glass for Outdoor Cameras

o New conductive optical coatings feature anti-fog and de-icing to aid in outdoor imaging applications

May 29, 2009 - Santa Paula, CA - Abrisa, a global leader in glass fabrication and thin film optical coatings, announces the new LuxVu(TM) Heated Optical Windows for cameras and displays that operate in rugged, wet, or cold outdoor environments. The newest product in the LuxVu line of transparent conductive coatings is designed to keep the optical glass free from moisture and fog; the heated windows also aid in de-icing in extreme weather conditions.

The new LuxVu heated front glass window provides a transparent conductive coating that may be combined with a variety of custom display enhancements and coatings. For example, antireflection (AR) coatings help protect the display while providing higher performance and improved transmission. Abrisa also offers additional glass fabrication and optical coating services that can be added to the heated optical windows to provide customized solutions, including screenprinting, busbar, epoxy, glass strengthening, etching, and special masking.

Abrisa's LuxVu Heated Optical Windows are ideal for ruggedized outdoor displays, imaging and sensing devices in the field such as traffic cams, ground security cameras, UAV cameras, optical instrumentation panels on air and ground vehicles, and more.
