Gen 2 Passive Tag for On-Metal Use

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) offers this compact UHF Gen 2 passive tag (GAO116405), which is meant for accurate identification for use on metal objects. The tag is light-weight with a durable housing and industry leading on-metal performance. The Gen 2 tag allows for easy attachment by means of adhesive or magnetic tape. It is an ideal option for IT assets tracking as the sleek form factor fits in the limited exposed areas of enterprise IT servers and equipment. The passive tag is also well-suited for use on returnable transit items such as pallets, bins and totes to support warehouse management applications.

Encapsulated within temperature resistant plastic, this passive RFID tag performs well even being subjected to several chemical baths, painting and cleansing processes, high temperature and physical stress. It provides a read range from four to five meters (13-16ft) and is used in applications where reusability is not required. In comparison with permanent tags, this optimized passive tag helps to reduce costs related to indirect maintenance and labor.
