Frequency Amplifier can acquire up to 4 frequency signals.
June 8, 2009 -
With sampling rates of up to 96,000 signals/sec and bandwidths of up to 38 kHz, MX460 can acquire torque from HBM torque transducers, PWM signals, and speeds. It measures digital signals with precision of up to 1 MHz, while all input channels are electrically isolated and can be individually configured. Device supports integrated Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) technology and features Ethernet and Firewire interfaces for data transmission.

Frequency Measuring Amplifier Enhances QuantumX
Darmstadt - HBM has launched the 4-channel frequency measuring amplifier MX460 to expand the capabilities of its QuantumX universal measurement data acquisition system. The new module can acquire up to four frequency signals with sampling rates of up to 96,000 signals/s and bandwidths of up to 38 kHz.
The MX460 is ideally suited to acquire torque from HBM torque transducers, pulse width modulated signals (PWM) and speeds, for example the angular synchronous measurement of physical quantities. The MX460 module measures digital signals with a precision of up to 1 MHz and all input channels are electrically isolated and can be individually configured.
The MX460 module supports the latest APM technology (Advanced Plug & Measure) from HBM. It also supports the integrated Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) technology enabling the measuring amplifier to automatically recognize every TEDS-compatible transducer connected to the system.
This enables extremely rapid configuration so that measurements can start immediately. If the transducer does not support TEDS, the user can simply use the HBM sensor database. Like all QuantumX modules, the MX460 also has an Ethernet and a Firewire interface, with which data can be rapidly and securely transmitted to a superordinate data recording and control system.
The modules can be used for a variety of measurement tasks. Typical examples are the measurement of crankshaft signals and the angular synchronous acquisition and display of highly dynamic state changes in physical quantities in combination with other QuantumX modules.
