Superior Fiber Optic Power Meter

05/21/2009

Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. (www.GAOTek.com) has released an advanced fiber optic power meter (GAO560) featuring generation of three different modulated signals, auto-wave recognition, low-power consumption, a large LCD screen and superior power source stability - the ruggedized power meter is an ideal solution for field testing. The fiber power meter saves test time and decreases potential errors by means of its ability automatically recognize wavelength. The meter also can be used to test optical power within the range of 800 to 1600nm wavelength.

GAO's 560 fiber optic power meter also offers an excellent testing range of between -70dBm and 10dBm. Its moveable connector provides for several types of connections including FC and SC. The optical power meter can be combined with different optical devices such as optical light sources (OLS) and visual fault locators (VFL). Such combination allows optical network professionals to test their fibers with different wavelengths at the same time.
