Greenlee Now Offers 5-3/8-inch Recessed Light Saws for Can Lights
ROCKFORD, Ill. May, 2009 -Greenlee, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, recently launched its new 5-3/8-inch recessed light saws to its holemaking product line. These recessed light saws are available with both steel and carbide grit cutting teeth and designed to cut up to 7/8-inch thick plywood, wood, acoustical tile, and ceiling tile materials. The carbide grit blade also cuts up to 7/8-inch thick stucco and plaster.
"Greenlee is currently the only company to offer a 5-3/8-inch recessed light saw," said Brian Allison, Senior Product Manager. "Most companies offer either a 5-inch or a 5-½-inch saw which is too small and may crush the can for the light."
The USA-made recessed light saws are designed to be used with a ½-inch electric power drill. They are made with a strong back plate to provide a saw with rigidity for cutting clean holes. Easy slug removal slots in the back plate allow for fast clean up. These are also the only saws with replaceable blades.
