Designed for splicing dispersion shifted, non-zero dispersion shifted, and erbium doped fibers, single fiber fusion splicer GAO1202 has auto-check end-face of fiber function, auto-calculation of splicing loss and auto-select suitable fusion program. Mechanical splices typically only have 0.01-0.02 dB loss. Unit automatically adjusts to environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Pressure sensors provide constant feedback control for regulation of fusion arc temperature.

A Single Fiber Fusion Splicer Released by GAO
Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has recently added the single fiber fusion splicer (GAO1202) to its product line of fiber optic equipment. This single fiber fusion splicer is intended for splicing dispersion shifted, non-zero dispersion shifted, and erbium doped fibers. Fusion splicing is preferred over mechanical splices for its inherent durability and strength.
This fusion splicer's mechanical splices typically only have a 0.01dB to 0.02dB loss. The device has an auto-check end-face of fiber function, auto-calculation of the splicing loss and auto-select suitable fusion program. The splicer automatically adjusts to environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity and with its pressure sensors provides constant feedback control to regulate the fusion arc temperature.
