New High Current Filters from 150 up to 2500A

PREMO Group launches the new EMC filter series for high currents (150A a 2500 A), three-phase and compact design for applications in UPS's, mining industry equipment, energy regeneration converters, and industrial machinery with converters and inverters up to 2000kVA. One of its main applications is in wind mill converters which require high current filters.

Its double stage topology in common mode, plus an additional differential mode stage, enables these filters to offer high attenuation in both modes from 9kHz up to 30MHz.

This new filters developed by PREMO can be used in high current solar converter (500 kVA, in example) where an elevator isolation transformer is not required, that means, lower voltage and higher current at the converter output.

The high current HCW serie has been designed according to the UL1283 and EN60939 standards, they are offered with a width range of voltages, up to 720Vac and, optionally, with protective covers for busbar.

During years PREMO EMC has designed a wide range of EMC filters for power converters in wind mills applications. This filter range has been developed considering the specific requirements of this application, like attenuation, volume, weigh, prices, etc. In collaboration with development centres, universities, suppliers and customers, PREMO has added to its designs innovations and new magnetic materials which enable to obtain results to satisfy customer needs.

Premo EMC has fixed and on-site laboratories to carry out the EMC tests in machines or installations of its customers and a solution is given or suggested in order to fulfill a specific EMC standard.
