Force Tester features intelligent universal interface.
May 27, 2009 -
With measurement capacity of 1,124 lbf, TCD1100 can test tension, compression, shear, peel, flexural, constant load holds, creep, and cycling. Universal interface eliminates need for PC, and 10 different load cells are available depending on application. Unit consists of console, rugged frame, and intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% FS. Frame operates from 0.01-1,020 mm/min with standard travel of 760 mm.
New Digital Force Tester with Intelligent Interface
The Chatillon® range of advanced digital force testers from Lloyd Instruments has been expanded with the launch of the TCD1100. The introduction of the TCD1100 extends the force testing capacity of the TCD Series to 5 kN (1124 lbf). In common with other force testers in the TCD Series, the TCD1100 features an intelligent universal interface, which eliminates the need for a PC without compromising operational performance and capability.
The TCD1100 is designed for higher force applications in production, quality control and engineering. Tension, compression, shear, peel, flexural, constant load holds, creep, cycling and sophisticated multi-stage testing can be performed. Standard test set-ups are provided for load limits, distance limits, time limits, break tests, rupture tests and cycling & loop tests. The TCD Series also includes a 'height mode' for performing sophisticated testing of springs and gauge repeatability & reproducibility.
The system consists of a powerful, yet intuitive console, a rugged frame and an intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% full scale. Ten different load cells are available for the TCD1100, depending on the application. The frame operates from 0.01 to 1020 mm per minute with a standard travel of 760 mm and a speed accuracy of better than 1% full scale. For testing large or long-elongation samples, the travel range can be extended to 1140 mm using the optional travel extension arm. An advanced closed-loop PID controller ensures precision travel and motion control with no overshooting (accuracy is better than 0.25% unloaded).
Test configurations and test results can be saved to a USB flash drive. With 'true' raw (not interpolated) data saved at rate of up to 1000 samples per second, precise information is provided for better characterization of the sample under test. This is particularly useful when capturing transient events such as the precise break load of a brittle sample.
Other instruments in the TCD Series include the TCD110 (500N) digital force tester and the TCD225 (1kN) digital force tester.
