New Micron XTRUE(TM) True Planetary Gearheads Deliver Precise Operation, Cost Effectively

WOOD DALE, IL - Thomson, A Danaher Motion Company, introduces XTRUE(TM) True Planetary Gearheads. Available in 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 120mm and 160mm frame sizes, XTRUE True Planetary Gearheads are specifically engineered to move large loads more easily and quietly with True Planetary(TM) gearing through improved load capacity and lower backlash. They deliver precise 13 arc-mins operation, with torque capacity up to 876 Nm and ratio availability of 3:1 through 100:1. XTRUE True Planetary Gearheads feature a tapped face output that enables easy, drop-in replacement for similarly configured European gearheads.

"The XTRUE Series of precision gearheads are a cost effective complement to the Micron True Planetary Gearhead family of products, which is already the broadest and deepest selection of planetary gearheads available in the world," says Howard Horn, Micron Product Line Manager.

Users will benefit from greater machine uptime with the Micron flexible RediMount(TM) mounting system, which enables the gearhead to be mounted to any motor in three easy steps - simply align, mount and tighten. All XTRUE components are RoHS-compliant (EU Directive 2002/95/EC), helping users to "go green" with their machine.

About Micron

Founded in 1950, Micron Instruments Corp. became part of the Thomson Industries family of motion control products in 1995 and, together, joined Danaher Motion in 2002. Micron invented high precision True Planetary(TM) Gearheads and has led the industry since. Our engineers combined the positive attributes of gear crowning and helical gearing with a planetary construction to create the smoothest operating gearhead on the market. Regular product advances have followed over the years, and the now the best and broadest offering of precision gearheads in the world is available under the trusted Micron brand name.

About Danaher Motion

Danaher Motion is a leading global manufacturer of motion control products that improve the efficiency and productivity of complex manufacturing operations. Danaher Motion's product innovations have been revolutionizing the motion control industry for over 60 years through trusted brand names including Kollmorgen, Thomson and Dover.
