Greenlee's New Tool Crimps Both Insulated and Un-insulated Terminals

One tool to make your job faster, safer and easier

ROCKFORD, Ill. April, 2009 - Greenlee, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company now offers a new pliers-style terminal crimping tool that's designed for crimping both insulated and un-insulated terminals and splices from 10 to 22 AWG. The tool is designed for electricians, telco installers, security and alarm installers, and other people who regularly install terminals.

The KP1022D crimping tool provides precision cutting of small wires and for crimping terminals onto the same wires. It has two crimping die positions. One for crimping insulated terminals and splices and the other for crimping un-insulated terminals and splices.

The new crimping tool comes in either the double-cushioned handle grips (KP1022) or the standard handle grips (KP1022D), making both easy to slip in or remove from tool pouches. The smooth pivot action allows the tool to easily be used with one hand.

The forged steel and hardened design provides long life, and the precision-machined and hardened cutter blades at the nose of the tool make cutting copper and aluminum wire easy.
