New Clean Room Chain Hoist Products for Pharmaceutical, Food, and Electronics Manufacturing

SOLON, OH - April 7, 2009 - The David Round Company, www.davidround.com has introduced a new series of stainless steel hoists for clean room use. The hoists meet the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as food processors and electronics manufacturers who have lifting applications in environmentally-controlled, wash down or corrosive processing environments.

All external components are polished stainless steel, including hooks, chain, frames and trolleys. Gearing is sealed, with food-grade lubrication. The chain hoist products feature smooth ground welds, flush mounting faces and plugged fasteners to help reduce the likelihood of contamination. The hoists are not painted, as paint (even FDA-approved epoxies) are not tolerated in many clean room environments.

David Round stainless steel hoists are available to accommodate loads from 500 up to 4,000 pounds. Options available include hook travel limit switch, single phase wiring, variable speed operation, stainless steel push or motorized trolley, or complete overhead systems.

Established in 1869, The David Round Company remains one of the oldest hoist manufacturers in the world. David Round offers standard handling products such as chain hoists, jib crane products, winch products and tractor drives as well as innovative solutions including engineered wire rope hoist products, all stainless steel chain hoists and jib crane motorization kits.

Major corporations and engineering firms routinely ask David Round to produce items which are non-standard for other material handling equipment suppliers. The company excels at designing and producing custom engineered equipment, purpose-built to tailor to special environments and applications.

Found in almost every industry from pharmaceutical processing and food manufacturing to oil and gas, aviation, pulp and paper and water control, David Round's products improve handling system efficiency while making the workplace a more productive and safer environment through their ergonomic designs.
