Graver Technologies Introduces New Line of Advanced Stainless Steel Backwashable Precoat Septa for Reactor Water Cleanup

Graver Technologies, LLC, a leading worldwide ISO9001:2000 supplier of filtration, separation, and purification products, has introduced a new line of advanced stainless steel backwashable precoat septa for reactor water cleanup (RWCU), fuel pool and other specialty applications in nuclear power generation.

Aegis PowerGuardŽ all metal septa are designed to fit original Graver bottom tube sheet installations with OEM supplied nuclear adapter end fittings. This avoids the removal of original hardware to minimize the possibility of internal damage and personnel exposure during replacement. Aegis PowerGuard elements incorporate PoroplateŽ, an advanced sintered metal design that allows for precise control of porosity (from 2 to 200 microns) along with the durability, quality, and reputation associated with Graver products.

Key features include low pressure drop; virtual elimination of contaminant leakage; high strength; excellent resistance to corrosion and fatigue; collapse strengths over 400 PSID; low carbon 316L SS construction; operating temperatures up to 1000°F; and excellent cleaning and precoating characteristics.

Aegis PowerGuard elements are also available for top tube sheet designs as well as replacements for all OEM designs including Delaval and Croll-Reynolds. They are available as individual elements or as pre-assembled tube bundles, and can be supplied in any diameter, length, and end fitting configuration.

Other Graver PowerGuard specialty metal products incorporating Poroplate sintered metal technology include stainless steel pleated resin trap elements, specialty under drains and strainers, and resin traps. Custom designs are available to retrofit equipment for power upgrades or to extend operating life.
