C/B5800 Series of DC/DC converters, AC/DC power supply and battery charging products come in 6U or 9U rack module or wall mount module. Offerd in over 100 standard models, 5 standard dc input voltage options span range from 80-800 Vdc. AC input models offer either 1-phase or 3-phase options as well as battery charging models. Single output voltages encompass range from 12-400 Vdc. All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).

Ashland, MA -- Schaefer, Inc. has introduced the C/B5800 Series of 12,000 Watt DC/DC converter, AC/DC power supply and battery charging products. The Series' robust design, using industrial grade components, yields a highly efficient, space-saving solution for even the most extreme environments in industries such as railway controls
and communications equipment (onboard and trackside), military applications, alternative energy applications, transportation, and process control systems.
The C/B5800 Series features an extensive lineup of over 100 standard models, with requests for modifications also available. Five standard DC input voltage options span a range from 80VDC-800VDC. AC input models offer either 1-Phase or 3-Phase options as well as battery charging models. Single output voltages encompass a range from 12-400VDC. All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).
DC/DC and AC/DC models have remote sense capability. The C/B5800 Series has comprehensive protection circuitry and efficiencies are up to 95%. Operating temperature is -20°C to +75°C, with -40°C to +75°C as an option.
The units are packaged in a space saving 6U or 9U rack module or a wall mount module. Options include parallel / redundant operation, further mechanical ruggedization, inhibit, Power-OK / DC-OK alarms, system reset signaling, and programming/monitoring functions.
Mechanical and electrical modifications to standard modules are readily available upon request. In addition, Schaefer can design and manufacture fully custom solutions.
