Measuring 266 x 191.2 x 28.5-38 mm, and weighing 1.45 kg, device features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and 160 GB hard disk with additional 10 GB of Eee Online storage. It has 10 in. LED backlit WSVGA LCD for screening of documents and multimedia, and multi-touch touchpad to allow users to zoom in or out of pictures, or navigate up and down pages.

Eee PC 1000HE sports the new 1.66-GHz Atom N280 processor, battery life extended to 9.5 hours
Delhi, March 24, 2009 - ASUS, inventor and innovator of the widely acclaimed Eee PC(TM), today announced the launch of Eee PC(TM) 1000HE equipped with new Intel® Atom(TM) N 280. Eee PC(TM) 1000HE, the best all-day computing device in the market today, incorporates ASUS' own Super Hybrid Engine battery conservation technology with a battery life of 9.5 hours making it the fastest, strongest and smartest Eee PC ever.
The 10-inch LED backlit Eee PC with a keyboard that's 92% the size of a conventional desktop keyboard comes with 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 160GB hard disk with an additional 10GB of Eee Online storage that provides excellent user experience.

Boasting a pearl white, black, pink, blue or gold Infusion finish on its glossy LCD lid, the Eee PC(TM) 1000HE is powered by an energy-efficient Intel® Atom(TM) processor. ASUS' exclusive Super Hybrid Engine (S.H.E) offers users a choice between performance and power conservation modes, allowing them to make adjustments to suit their prevailing usage and in doing so reduce power expenditure by up to 15%*-enabling up to an astonishing 9.5* hours of continuous computing. A 160GB hard disk drive provides ample storage for the user's media collection while 10GB of online Eee Storage provides users with access to their documents anywhere, anytime. A 10-inch LED backlit WSVGA LCD provides ample screen real estate for documents and multimedia. The keyboard is 92% the size of a conventional desktop keyboard for better ergonomics.
