VTI Introduces Industry's First LXI Class A Scalable Switch and Measurement Subsystem

Irvine, CA March 5, 2009 VTI Instruments Corporation introduced today its new scalable EX1200 series, the highest density switch/measure and control subsystem on the market.

Modular and flexible, the EX1200 features LXI Class A technology and can measure up to 576 channels of voltage or temperature in a single rack U mainframe. Additional plug-in modules provide DC-RF switching, isolated analog outputs, digital I/O, and edge detection. An optional 6.5 digit DMM is also available.

"VTI has a rich history of providing modular, high-density switch and instrumentation solutions that have become the standard for many large, complex test systems, said Business Development Manager, Tom Sarfi. We're excited to offer the new EX1200 series, which will extend our capabilities to address a broader range of applications. It provides a very cost-effective solution regardless of channel count requirements.

The EX1200 offers a scalable architecture with half rack 1U and full rack 1U and 3U mainframes. As a standard product, it can be leveraged across R&D, service and support, and production using common hardware and software.

Applications for the EX1200 series include signal switching and distribution, power supply switching, voltage and temperature monitoring, and ATE/functional testing. The LXI communications interface can be used to create a highly synchronized, distributed measurement system that performs data logging, monitoring and control. An embedded web interface provides virtual monitoring and control of all switches and instruments without the need for third-party software.
