Wedge Grip is designed for tensile testing applications.
March 10, 2009 -
Capable of handling sample thickness of 6 mm maximum, model G1061 wedge grip suits tensile testing applications up to 1,200 lb. It features 19 mm wide serrated and hardened stainless steel jaws, which ride on rollers and are opened with ergonomic spring loaded knob and rack and pinion type mechanism. Suited for testing of plastics, metals, packaging materials, and medical devices, grip is designed to mount on any force gauge, test stand, or material tester.
Mark-10 introduces their new model G1061 wedge grip, designed for a range of tensile testing applications up to 1,200 lb (5.3 kN). Typical applications include the testing of plastics, metals, packaging materials, medical devices, and more.
Serrated, hardened stainless steel jaws are easily opened with an ergonomic spring loaded knob and rack and pinion type mechanism. The jaws ride on rollers instead of sliding along the surface of the housing, as with conventional wedge grips. This unique design prevents jamming and improves gripping characteristics. The jaws are 0.75" (19 mm) wide, and the open housing design permits the testing of samples of any width. Maximum sample thickness is 0.25" (6 mm), making this versatile grip useful for a wide range of requirements.
The grip is designed to mount to virtually any force gauge, test stand, or material tester.
