ST PAUL, Minn., March 3 -- Security and IT work together in the powerful new IP based FOCAL POINT Security Program from Access Specialties International. FOCAL POINT is a simple, effective and scalable program that utilizes IP access control for alarm monitoring, building automation control and distributed intelligence.
FOCAL POINT supports HID's Edge product line with an integrated EdgeReader controller or any type of card reader with the EdgePlus unit. The product was introduced at ASI's national sales meeting in Naples, FL on February 7, 2009 with support by HID and Ingersoll Rand.
"FOCAL POINT is designed to provide outstanding security at a low initial cost without a per seat license fee," said Lisa DeBettignies, ASI president. Further economy is realized through central IP installation with CAT 5/6 cabling and PoE or external power supply that eliminates the need for a dedicated security closet.
