Thermal Transfer Printers have printing speed of 25 mm/sec.
February 23, 2009 -
Offering 10 mm/sec printing speed at low temperature mode, ProMark MK9-NG printers produce custom multi-character cable markers and component identification labels. Units have print resolution of 300 dpi. Character heights of 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm are supported, with single/double row printing for tube media, and up to 4 rows of printing on tape media. Integral QWERTY keyboard helps in data entry, and devices can also import legend information in form of standard CSV files generated.
With the new ProMark MK9-NG thermal transfer printer from Partex, producing custom multi-character cable markers and component identification labels is fast, easy and inexpensive. The new printer produces labels and markers with legends that are crisp, clear and durable. It is compatible with a wide range of competitively priced media, including cable marker profiles, heatshrink tubing and self adhesive tapes.
For the convenience of large volume users, Partex is now supplying some of the media in the form of even more economical bulk packs.
ProMark MK9-NG printers feature rugged yet compact construction, making them equally at home in design offices, production facilities and on site. An integral QWERTY keyboard makes data entry easy, and the printers can also import legend information in the form of standard CSV files generated, for example, by an Excel spreadsheet. A flexible internal number sequence generator is also provided.
All labels and markers are printed on continuous media, which ensures minimal wastage. The printer's internal long-life cutting head automatically cuts the labels and markers to the required length. It semi-severs the material, allowing the markers or labels to be finally separated by hand at the point of use. This allows an easy overview of the markers to be fitted.
A printing speed of 25 mm per second is achieved when working at normal ambient temperatures, but the printer also offers a 10 mm per second low temperature mode, which is particularly useful for on-site applications. Print resolution is 300 dpi, ensuring that the legends are always easy to read. Character heights of 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm are supported, with single/double row printing for tube media, and up to four rows of printing on tape media.
ProMark MK9-NG marker and label printers from Partex are supplied in the form of a convenient starter kit housed in a rugged carrying case. In addition to the printer itself, the kit includes a mains power supply, a print ribbon cassette, a user manual, a quick-start guide and a selection of popular tube and tape media.
