With up to 88% efficiency, PMK/PMMK family of high-density, switching AC-DC power supplies are capable of delivering 450 W with active power factor correction (PFC). MANSFIELD, Mass., February 3, 2009 - Astrodyne announces the latest addition to the flexible PMK/PMMK family of high-density, switching AC-DC power supplies, capable of delivering 450 watts with active PFC. Designed for moderate power needs, the PMK/PMMK AC-DC power supplies are designed to meet stringent space requirements while delivering optimal performance characteristics needed for I.T.E systems, pumps, motors and instrumentation applications. The PMMK versions are fully qualified for medically approved AC-DC power supply applications.
The PMK/PMMK450 series provides standard output voltages of 5, 12, 24, 36 and 48V, enhancing their utility across a wide range of applications. The PMK/PMMK450 power supplies operate with efficiencies of up to 88% and are available in two styles. One version contains an enclosed fan while the second version is supplied with a U-Channel in a 5" x 8" x 1.57" (127 x 203 x 40mm) enclosure. Both versions can be ordered with DIN Rail clip for easy mounting in DIN Rail applications.
The feature-rich PMK/PMMK450 family also meets the latest safety approvals including UL 60950 and EN 60950 while complying with current EMC standards. The medically approved PMMK meets both UL 6061 and EN 60601 specifications. The AC-DC power supply's feature set includes single line current share, remote sense lines, remote inhibit, output voltage adjust and a 5V standby mode.
