New Lighweight Electronic Thermocutter

The new lightweight AZTC-20 Electronic Thermocutter from Abbeon Cal Inc. in Santa Barbara, CA, is now available. The AZTC-20 Thermocutter is great for clean, effortless cutting of synthetic fabrics, plastic tubes, fiber optics, foam and similar materials that tend to crimp, serrate or unravel when cold cutters are used. At only 11-½ oz, compared to other brands that weigh over 2 lbs, operator fatigue from extended use will be dramatically reduced. The reason for the lighter weight of this tool is the removal of the transformer, which is replaced by high-tech electronics. The best part about this change is that the handle will never get hot.

In addition, temperature is controlled from zero to 1050ºF with a simple flick of your thumb, and an electrical current control switch allows a broader selection of large blades. This cutter comes with a handy tool stand. Also available is a cutting foot accessory which lifts your synthetic fabric or thin plastic off the cutting surface before coming in contact with the heated blade that easily cuts and seals the edges of the material. Using the foot attachment and a straight edge can help you get consistent, straight cuts.
