Suited for measuring and monitoring flow of low viscosity liquids and gases, Model DS04 Flow Switch measures liquid flows to 150 Lpm and gas flows to 1,400 Lpm. Available pipe sizes include ¼, ½, ¾, 1, and 1-¼ in. with full scale ranges from 1.5-50 Lpm water and 28-240 SLpm air. Switch can be supplied with brass or 316 stainless steel wetted parts and Buna or Viton seals, with pressure ratings of 2,900 psig for brass and 4,350 psig for stainless steel.

Model DS04 is suited for measuring and monitoring the flow of low viscosity liquids and gases. Applications include monitoring equipment cooling loops such as on laser systems and plasma welding systems as well as for pump monitoring/control and alarm function for critical process flows
The DS04 works on the variable area principal and utilizes a float that is guided in a cylindrical measuring tube by means of a slotted nozzle. The flowing medium moves the float in the flow direction. One or two reed switches in a sealed housing are magnetically coupled to the float and factory preset or field adjustable over the range of the instrument. An optional external pointer indicator magnetically coupled to the float can also be supplied to indicate flow rate.
The DS04 can be supplied with brass or 316 stainless steel wetted parts and Buna or Viton seals. Available pipe sizes are ¼, ½, ¾, 1 and 1-¼ inch with full scale ranges from 1.5 LPM to 50 LPM water and 28 SLPM to 240 SLPM air. Pressure rating is 2,900 PSIG for brass and 4,350 PSIG for stainless. An explosion proof model is also available.
