Based on chemo-optical measurement principle, InPro6880i optical sensor uses light to determine dissolved oxygen during fermentation processes, and does not need electrolytes or require polarization. It comes with integrated electronics, and uses ISM technology that provides sensor diagnostics. Additional status information is analyzed on-line providing user with real-time warnings of end-of-life of marker optical cap.
The new optical sensor InPro6880i for dissolved oxygen measurements in fermentation processes shows excellent measurement quality, process reliability and high batch-to-batch consistency.
Improved process stability and reduced maintenance
The InPro6880i optical sensor with integrated electronics is based on a chemo-optical measurement principle. It uses light to accurately determine the dissolved oxygen during fermentation. Marker molecules immobilized in an oxygen-sensitive layer are excited by the green light and emit red light through a chemo-optical fluorescence process. The optical sensor does not need electrolytes or require polarization, thus extending its operational.
Availability and eliminating inadvertent handling errors. This also reduces the risk of batch contamination and production delays. To tap the full potential of the InPro6880i it is recommended to complete the measuring loop with the new M400 transmitter.
ISM technology provides Enhanced sensor diagnostics
The InPro6880i uses ISM technology (Intelligent Sensor Management) which further reduces the maintenance requirements and increases process reliability. Additional status information is analyzed on-line providing the user with real-time warnings of end-of-life of the marker optical cap.
