SafetySmart Barrier Cream lotion can be used in any harsh environment to protect hands from solvents, paint, grease, oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, detergents, or any soil that is considered an irritant to the skin. SafetySmart Barrier Cream serves as the skin's first line of defense against irritants that can dry out or damage skin, functioning as "invisible gloves", providing protection without limiting dexterity.
SafetySmart Barrier Cream protects the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, in working environments where it may not be practical or safe to wear gloves or protective sleeves. SafetySmart Barrier Cream's "barrier" is formed by the use of two types of silicone, one of which acts as an emollient to help hydrate the skin and seal in moisture, while the other provides a protective seal, locking out irritants. Lanolin is added to help prevent hydrocarbons such as gasoline, oil, paint thinners, and other fluids from penetrating the skin. In addition to protecting skin, it makes cleanup fast and easy.
