Designed to measure airflow, P992 features pressure ranges of 0-2 to 0-10 in. H20, ceramic MEMS sense element, and plastic composite housing. Model P356 features ceramic capacitive sense element, brass housing, pressure range of 0.5 to 0-5 psi gauge/differential, and is suited for measuring propane or natural gas flow. Fully temperature compensated P992 and P356 offer 0.25-0.45 and 0.5-4.5 Vdc linear amplified output proportional to pressure, respectively.

Pressure Sensors for Furnace Modulation Applications
Moorpark, CA - Kavlico, a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST), and a company of Schneider Electric has developed two new, high accuracy, low-pressure sensors for pressure measurement applications in next generation modulated furnaces. The model P992 is ideally suited to measure airflow, while the P356 measures propane or natural gas flow.
The rapid escalation of energy costs over the past several years has "fueled" a new urgency to improve the efficiency of residential and commercial heating systems. Kavlico's high precision pressure sensors provide furnace controls suppliers with a device that assists with combustion optimization parameters making the furnace efficiency jump from 65% to 95%.
