P-Channel MOSFET has 0.4 mm profile.


November 20, 2008 - Offered in 1 x 1.5 x 0.4 mm WL-CSP to accommodate form factor requirements of cell phones, MP3 players, and other portable applications, FDZ391P P-Channel PowerTrench® MOSFET provides RDS (ON) of 74 mW typical at -4.5 V VGS and power dissipation of 1.9 W. It utilizes lead-free terminals and is characterized for moisture sensitivity in accordance with Pb-free reflow requirements of J-STD-020. Product is also RoHS compliant.

Fairchild Semiconductor's P-Channel MOSFET in CSP Offers Industry's Lowest Profile (0.4mm)


Provides 40 Percent Lower Height than Industry Standard P-Channel MOSFETs in CSP

SAN JOSE, Calif. - November 4, 2008 - Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS) addresses the low profile, electrical and thermal efficiency requirements of portable applications with its single P-Channel MOSFET in 1 x 1.5 x 0.4mm WL-CSP packaging. The FDZ391P has been designed using Fairchild's 1.5V rated PowerTrench® process coupled with state-of-the art WL-CSP packaging to minimize both RDS (ON) and required PCB space. This P-Channel MOSFET offers a 40 percent lower profile than standard P-Channel MOSFETs accommodating the slim form factor requirements of next generation cell phones, MP3 players and other portable applications. With its low RDS (ON) (74mOhm typical -4.5V VGS), it reduces conduction losses and provides excellent power dissipation (1.9 Watts).

The FDZ391P expands Fairchild's broad offering of portable design solutions that are integral in conserving space and extending battery life. Through Fairchild's experience in power management, signal conditioning and advanced packaging, these products bring designers significant reduction in form factor along with excellent thermal and electrical performance to address the requirements of portable applications. These solutions include µSerDes(TM) serializer/deserializers, IntelliMAX(TM) advanced load switches, USB switches, DC-DC switches, logic translators and many other power management and signal conditioning technologies.

The FDZ391P utilizes lead-free (Pb-free) terminals and has been characterized for moisture sensitivity in accordance with the Pb-free reflow requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020. All of Fairchild's products are designed to meet the requirements of the European Union's Directive on the restriction of the use of certain substances (RoHS).
