Electrodes are suited for food/chemical/petroleum plants.

November 14, 2008 - Arcos 308H Series stainless steel electrodes feature restricted carbon content of 0.04-0.08%, offer smooth arc transfer with little spatter, and are suited for welding similar alloys in wrought or cast form and similar materials such as AISI grades 301, 302, 304 and 305. Bare wire version (ER308H) is available in diameters from .035-3/16. Covered version (E308H) has added advantage of providing easy slag removal and is available in diameters from 3/32-3/16 in.

Arcos Introduces Stainless Steel Electrodes for Food, Chemical & Petroleum Plants

Date: October 29, 2008

Mount Carmel, PA ---Arcos Industries, LLC now offers new bare wire and covered stainless steel electrodes, Arcos 308H, which feature a restricted carbon content of 0.04% - 0.08%. Both electrodes are specially designed to provide for higher tensile and creep strengths at elevated temperatures.

The bare wire Arcos 308H (ER308H) offers a smooth arc transfer with very little spatter. It is designed for welding similar alloys in wrought or cast form and similar materials such as AISI grades 301, 302, 304 and 305. Bare wire Arcos 308H electrodes, available in diameters from .035" - 3/16", are particularly suited for welding food processing equipment and in petroleum and chemical processing facilities.

The covered Arcos 308H electrode (E308H) is utilized in many of the same applications as the bare wire version. The electrode's characteristics are similar to the bare wire model with the added advantage of providing easy slag removal. This covered electrode is available in diameters from 3/32" - 3/16".

For more information on bare wire and covered Arcos 308H electrodes, contact Arcos at (800) 233-8460 or visit the website at www.arcos.us.
