Lowry Announces Secure New Produce Traceability Solution
ORLANDO, FLORIDA October 24, 2008 - Lowry Computer Products today announced the
launch of Secure Visibility, an inventory management and lot traceability solution for the produce industry. Focused on the grower, packer/shipper and retailers, trading partners can capture and share product traceability information in real-time. Built around GS1 BarCode and EPCglobal RFID standards, Secure Visibility provides a comprehensive set of mobility solutions that adheres to the Produce Traceability Initiative's compliance plan for standard traceability for the entire produce supply chain.
Lowry's set of Secure Visibility Solutions grew out of the produce industry's product traceability initiatives. Working in step with industry leaders in establishing standardized food safety and quality certification programs- such as PMA, United Fresh, SQF (Safe Quality Food) 2000- Lowry has created a 'track and trace' lot traceability solution for growers, pack/shippers, distributors and retailers. Secure Visibility, which is built on Microsoft BizTalk Server R2, allows users to capture relevant information pertaining to the produce supply chain in real-time, using RFID or bar code.
