Bottle Caps prevent escape of chemicals and solvent vapors.
November 21, 2008 -
Suited for laboratories, OmnifitŪ T-Series bottle caps and accessories feature PTFE inner portion for chemical compatibility. Units have anti-twist design that allows inner body of cap to spin freely, and prevent tubes from becoming twisted when cap is fitted or removed. This eliminates need to disconnect fluid lines before unscrewing cap. They require no fittings, and standard 1/8 in. laboratory tubing is pushed through luer ports on top of cap.
Bottle caps create safe environments in laboratories at a low cost
Boonton, NJ (October 27, 2008) - Bio-Chem Fluidics, manufacturer of inert, miniature fluid handling components for instrument manufacturers and laboratories, introduces the OmnifitŪ T-Series bottle caps and accessories. This new, low-cost equipment prevents harmful chemicals and solvent vapors from escaping, ensuring a safe and dependable solvent delivery system in the laboratory.
Following an extensive re-engineering program, Bio-Chem Fluidics has reduced the cost of its T-Series bottle caps, allowing managers to create safe environments in laboratories without blowing their budgets. With the imminent possibility of legislation mandating safety bottle caps, the T-Series are a cost-effective and proactive option for laboratories.
Featuring a PTFE inner portion, which offers a high level of chemical compatibility, T-Series caps have an anti-twist design that allows the inner body of the cap to spin freely. This prevents tubes from becoming twisted when the cap is fitted or removed, and eliminates the need to disconnect fluid lines before unscrewing the cap.
The easy-to-use caps require no fittings - standard 1/8" laboratory tubing is simply pushed through luer ports on the top of the cap. These ports allow connection of other tubing sizes and types with a range of luer adaptors, which are available separately. Optional integrated check-valves and filters are also available, enabling pressure to be equalized within the bottle as liquid is drawn out and preventing particulate contamination.
Bio-Chem Fluidics' staff of design and prototyping experts can offer simple modifications of standard products as well as completely customized designs. For more information, e-mail info@biochemfluidics.com, visit www.biochemfluidics.com, or call (973) 263-3001.
